Position summary

The Agile Business Analyst is responsible for providing strategic business analysis services to business partners assisting in the support and delivery of all applications, specifically addressing level 2 and 3 escalated requests. Analyzes specific and complex business problems to be solved with applications. Assists in the identification and development processes and procedures within applications that are cost-effective and meet user requirements. Plans and executes unit, integration, and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Startup experience preferred.

Essential functions

  1. Support the agile software development teams (both on/offshore) to document the requirements, design, testing and deployment phases.
  2. Act as primary Subject Matter Expert in 1-2 business functions such as Pharmacy Operations, Procurement, Inventory, Sales, or Finance.
  3. Develop, maintain, and continuously progress in knowledge of business functions.
  4. Participate in the analysis and design of system solutions, providing assistance and direction to the business and to development teams, leveraging the Agile methodology from Concept, Analysis/Requirements through Development, QA, Implementation and Decommission.
  5. Analyze impact of proposed solution across the business, develop use cases to explain/demonstrate business requirements/specifications to IT team, and contribute a business or process perspective during design reviews.
  6. Provide analysis and recommendations to consistently improve business processes and technology with analysis, providing both design and execution of training of customers, help desk personnel and system developers on new and existing processes.
  7. Manage issues resolution with appropriate levels of urgency with customers, helpdesk personnel and developers using solid negotiation and conflict management skills, escalating to management and senior leadership appropriately.
  8. Independently run small to medium sized projects, leading application, infrastructure, quality, and business resources.
  9. Independently develop and nurture strong and appropriate relationships with business and technical partners as well as customers to advance system efficiency and overall IT perception and support.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree and one to two years of agile business analyst experience or any similar combination of education and experience.
  2. Working knowledge of business processes, system development and process improvements.
  3. Proficient in gathering business requirements, process flows and use cases.
  4. Experience with modeling and mapping as-is and to-be business processes.

  4. Experience working in a start-up or fast paced environment with demonstrated ability to multi-task daily preferred.

Technical Skills

  1. Underlying skills that enables an employee to perform effectively on the job.
  2. Must have proficiency with Agile methodologies and be able to facilitate all scrum ceremonies and write complete user stories.
  3. Must have expert level proficiency with MS Office applications, internet, web-based applications, and other office equipment.
  4. High level of competency in use of technology, project management tools such as Jira, and Monday.com.
